Established in 2015 and headquartered in Vientiane, Lao Derm Group brings international best practice and Lao hospitality together across real estate, hospitality, and food & beverage.

Our story

What began as one restaurant devoted to authentic Lao cuisine in an elegant setting is now a family of more than 29 brands — hotels under the Souphattra name, restaurants from Lao to Japanese, cafés, bars, a spa and a catering house — in four destinations. Every one of them is Lao at heart.

The Pak Wen philosophy

Pak Wen (Marsilea quadrifolia) is a humble water clover. It thrives in challenging conditions, it is an essential source of food and energy for Lao people, and it is part of everyday Lao life. That is the kind of company we aim to be.
